Unexpectedly, at his residence, Shayne passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at age 58. Beloved son of Darlene Elaine (Caughlin) Gale of Crediton and the late John “Jack” Wayne Gale (2023). Dear brother of Shawn Palmatier (Cheryl Beltz) of Crediton. Loved uncle of Quinton (Paige) Stubbs of Atlanta, Georgia, Tyler Beltz of London, Ontario. Great-uncle of August and Adeline Stubbs, Brinley, Benny and Emma Beltz. Remembered by his uncle Ian Palmatier, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his father Nelson Arnold Palmatier and grandparents Cyril Chester and Helen Elaine (Wolfe) Caughlin.
Shayne was always very kind and generous; there was a time when he gave his last dollar in his pocket to another person in need, because they needed it more.
At the family’s request, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held. A graveside interment service will be held at a later date, at Hensall Union Cemetery.
If desired, memorial donations to Canadian Mental Health Association or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
