Our condolences to Alโs family and Alison. We hope your memories of your time with him will comfort you in the coming years. I worked with Al both before and during Alโs time at NewLink, and I (Cheryl) appreciated his mentorship during our assignments together. He was always so positive and supportive! He had a wonderful laugh. We also enjoyed our social times together with Helga and Pierre and stayed in touch after our retirement. We have provided a donation in memory of Al, to Londonโs My Sisterโs Place. Regards, Cheryl and Phil Lawrence

Worked with and for Al from the 1960โs until his departure from London Life. Al seemed to know everything and everyone that mattered and was always pointing the way forward. Working with him broadened my horizons and helped me in my career and his breadth of knowledge and experience helped him in his subsequent career in consulting after departing London Life. A standout memory for me was attending the LOMA annual conference in New Orleans around 1980. Al read an advertisement in the airline magazine about โBreakfast at Brennansโ being a canโt miss experience while in New Orleans and we were not disappointed – and did not eat another meal all day.
So many memories that I will always cherish. Rest in peace.

Memories of Oz & Helga
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Many successful projects with Oz at London Life
(Way Back When…) Noon-hour walks down Dundas Street and seeing how many people Oz knew (and remembered their names) in London (I was jealous – having lived in many different places due to my Dad’s transfers in his career in the Air Force)
Oz was always the guy who remembered people’s names and their history.
Many summer Fastball games after work, with Oz’s rocket arm throwing someone out at home from centre field
Many, many draft beers at the ceeps with Oz & Helga and Joan after summer fastball games
Many championships with Oz on the Electrons and London Life fastball teams
September “fishing trips” to the West Arm of Lake Nipissing with Oz as the cook – “Chateaubriand” dinners and “gourmet shore lunches”
Friday afternoon “gin and tonic” parties at Oz & Helga’s place downtown (before it was torn down for the Horton Street extension)
Several Two-week-long winter vacations in Barbados with Joan and Oz and Helga
One Two-week-long driving tour of California with Joan and Oz and Helga
Summer weekend visits to Ipperwash Beach with Joan and Oz and Helga at the Gundry’s cottage
Trips with Joan, Oz, Helga, Dave, Leigh, Heather and Brenda to Cedar Point
Golf trips to South Carolina with Oz and “the boys” (Again more of Oz’s cooking)
A Week-long “Tour of the World via Toronto’s restaurants” with Joan at Oz & Helga’s Toronto abode
Losing “money” to Oz at our monthly “Regular Rules Poker Club (RRPC)”
Oz at our annual R.R.P.C. “Summer Extravaganza” at Southen’s cottage at Ipperwash
