ORR: Cynthia (Cindy) of Grand Bend

Passed away peacefully in Grand Bend, Ontario, on Friday June 5th, 2026, Born in Oakville, Ontario on September 2, 1952, she was in her 74th year at the time of her passing. 

A beloved mother, sister, nana, aunt, cousin, and friend, Cindy was always a shining light to those around her, with a smile that would light up a room, and an infectious laugh that was beautiful to all who heard it. Often referred to as a “second mom” by her daughter’s friends, Cindy’s door was always open, with enough love to spread to others.

Cindy will be dearly missed by her two daughters Heather Cornwall (Sean Furfaro), and Megan Cornwall (Eric Raymond), her sister Connie Gaskell, her grandchildren Taylor Cornwall-Moore, Declan Meger, and Lucas Furfaro, her brothers-in-law Shawn Cornwall and Trev Chamberlain, and her many nieces and nephews, Jayme, Jeff, Jennifer, Jill, Dallas, Travis, Cory and Curtis. She will also be missed by numerous close friends and other family members. Pre-deceased by her parents, Fred and Dianne Orr, her sister, Kathie Chamberlain, her son Scott Cornwall, and her brothers-in-law Ian Cornwall, Cameron Cornwall, Tim Gaskell, and Bob Crocker. 

A lifelong lover of animals, Cindy will be longingly remembered and missed by her dog, Paisley, and her cat, Missy.

A special thank you to her Doctors, Nurses, and Personal Support Workers for their care and compassion over the last few weeks.

At her request, cremation has occurred. In the place of a visitation process and funeral, the family will be holding a Celebration of Life fitting for the woman who touched so many of us. Details will be finalized in the coming weeks.

Donations to the Humane Society of Kitchener Waterloo & Stratford Perth would be appreciated by the family.
