At Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, Glen Munro Nixon of Hensall, passed away in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Lola (Volland) Nixon. Dear father of Sandi and Tim Robinson and grandfather of Ryan (Stephanie) Robinson. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Sue and Walt Woytowich, Alice Ann Tolton Davis, Gene and Jim Baynham, Lynn and Carl Crossett, Debbie Smith, Keith Volland, Don and Diane Volland and Gerald and Ladeena Volland. Sadly missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Dale and Alice (Munro) Nixon, brother Jim Nixon, brothers-in-law Charles Tolton and Max Davis and sister-in-law Dorothy Volland. Cremation.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, Aug 22, 2012 at 2 p.m. in Hensall Union Cemetery. Pastor Elly Dow officiating. Donations may be made to the Queensway Resident Fund or a charity of oneโs choice.

In our “growing up” years, much time was spent at the Nixon Farm either around the barn or gliding down the hills on skis, sleds or toboggans. It was a real meeting place for all Glen’s friends and we were always made to feel so welcome by the whole family….
