Passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 at the age of 76. Loving husband of Irmtraut Niebuhr for 55 wonderful years. Proud dad of Heiko and Anja Niebuhr, Petra and Ralph Haase, and Kathrin and Andre Gellrich. Adored Opa of Dennis. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Hella and Heinrich Harms. Fondly remembered by his sisters and brothers-in-law nieces and nephews.
Hermann was a proud lifelong farmer. His son took over the family farm and Hermann and Irmtraut came to Canada to fulfill Hermann’s dream. He could always be found outdoors as he loved nature. He spent many hours in the bush, hunting or with a saw collecting firewood.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Saturday, September 14th from 2 – 4 PM. Cremation will follow and Hermann will return home to Germany.
Donations to the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
