Passed away with her family by her side at Huron Hospice, Clinton on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at the age of 93.
Born in Walkerton and raised in a large farm family, Eileen had many happy memories of her childhood. She came to marry Ron Nash and they had three children; Ron Jr., Bob, and Deb (Phillips) they also raised Richard (Mann), a relative of Eileen’s. They spent many hours at their trailer in the Thedford area while living in London. Upon Ron’s passing Eileen later met Alan Bake and they travelled extensively together, while residing in Winnipeg, Florida, and the Okanagan Valley. In her later years she moved to Seaforth and bragged about her grandchildren; Patty, Vic, Dan, Dawn, David; (of Ron Jr), Sheila, Mike; (of Bob), Amanda, Niki, Toby; (of Deb) and Wendy; (of Richard). She also had great love and pride for her great-grandchildren and her great-great-grandchildren.
She was content to return to the arms of God and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Maplewood Manor, Goderich Emergency Department, and Huron Hospice for the exceptional care and compassion provided to Eileen during her stays.
In keeping with Eileen’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Homes, Seaforth (519-527-1390).
Donations to Huron Hospice or charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
