March 11, 1949 – October 21, 2025
It is with great sadness that the family of Lloyd Millson, formerly of Fergus, announces his passing at home in Seaforth on October 21, 2025, in his 77th year.
Lloyd married the love of his life, Joan, on June 26, 1982, at Melville United Church in Fergus. Together they shared a devoted and inseparable bond, truly exemplifying what real love means. After early retirement, they spent many happy years traveling and, for the past 16 winters, enjoyed their home in Lakeland, Florida.
Lloyd was the son of the late Clifford and Alice Millson of RR#4 Rockwood, and son-in-law of the late Claude and Betty Haskett of Angus, Ontario.
He was the proud father of Jackie Mikel (Roger), Norm Kassian (Marissa), Jeremy Millson (Trish), and Sherry Wilson (Tim); and cherished grandfather of Shaun Kassian, Michael (Jen) and Chris Cutting, Brittany, Liam, and the late Justin Millson, Elizabeth Mikel, Olivia, Justin (Aviva), Woad and Weid Wilson.
Lloyd is survived by his sister Joyce Rennie (Hubert), brother Gord Millson (Mary), and sister Shirley Murphy (Dan). He will also be dearly missed by his brothers- and sisters-in-law Rolly Haskett (Marlene), Claudette Stebbings (late John), Paulette Sasco (late Dominic), Janette Wessel (late Mike), and Barbara Carruthers (late Bruce & Jim), along with many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
By trade, Lloyd was an electrician and worked for Noranda Metal Industries in Fergus, where he met Joan. He later joined GSW in Fergus until retiring at 55. Never one to sit still, he ran his own handyman business for 10 years, earning a reputation for integrity, skill, and pride in every job.
A lifelong motorcycle enthusiast, Lloyd spent 59 years on two wheels, especially enjoying his Harleys and memorable tours with Joan across Canada and the U.S. Golfing was another of his greatest joys.
As per Lloyd’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at Rockwood Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Haskett Funeral Home, Seaforth (519-527-1390).
Donations, if desired, may be made to the Prostate Cancer Foundation Canada or a charity of your choice.
