    Elaine
Thinking of you with love and care during this time of loss. I’m sorry that we could not be there for the visitation and funeral. Today, I’m remembering Pat’s twinkling eyes and easy smile as he told a funny story or shared a tale about one of his many interests. He was a lovely man and I was lucky to have known him.

Prayers for my Dad John, Aunt Carol and Aunt Francis. Uncle Pat’s passing was not sudden, however that doesn’t make it any easier to say goodbye.
Elaine please accept our sympathy on Pat’s passing. I am sure that following his illness it is a blessing that he no longer suffers. Dad said you’ve been strong for Pat since the diagnosis. With your education I’m sure knowledge was both good and bad going through this time. But I know you are a loving person, I’m sure that no one could have taken better care of him. I pray that you have a strong support system in place for you now going forward.

I knew Pat through the Knights of Columbus and he was a District Deputy and I was a Grand Knight (1504 Kitchener) and becoming a DD in my district. He took the time to show me the ropes and was always there to provide help and was always full of humour!

  29. Scott Davis

    July 23, 2019 at 11:44 AM

A true gentleman and a class act … even though he sometimes let others influence the way he dressed (not mentioning any names Sheila Hurley!!). I have many fond memories of collaborating with Pat on the Keystone Campaign and the Hagey Bonspiel.

Pat was a champion of the University of Waterloo and our institution is better for it. He was also a champion of good humour and we are better for having known him. I will always think fondly of Pat whether on the golf course or sitting around the campfire roasting wieners! ;-)

Blessings to you, Elaine, for your steadfast love, care and compassion. You were a dynamo team so I pray you will have the strength and will to continue with Pat’s legacy as your bedrock. I’m sorry I will not be able to attend the funeral service so extend my prayers to you via this message.

    Peace,

    Scott

My deepest sympathies go out to the family of Pat Mihm. He was a loyal and dedicated volunteer of the faculty, staff and retiree campaign called the Keystone Campaign helping to raise funds for scholarships, bursaries and programs to help deserving students gain access to quality education at the University of Waterloo. His positive and ‘can do’ attitude and ability to mobilize others to help out was just a few of Pat’s many great qualities. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. Dipali
