McPHERSON: Jeff of Granton formerly of Seaforth

June 30, 2020 By Haskett Funeral Homes 78 Condolences

McPHERSON: Jeff of Granton formerly of Seaforth

Suddenly at LHSC – University Hospital, on Sunday, June 28, 2020, of Granton and formerly of Seaforth at the age of 59. Husband of Pam (deBoer) McPherson. #1 most proud dad of Vanessa and Sam Switzer of Lakeside, Sammy McPherson and Brad Siddall of London and Jenna McPherson at home. The coolest grandpa Jeff around to Weston, Levi, and Cole. Jeff will be missed by his many family, friends, co-workers, and customers. He will be remembered for never steering away from a challenge, his attention to detail and for mentoring and believing in those that needed it most.
A private family farewell ceremony will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, Lucan on Thursday, July 2nd.

If desired, donations to the future education of Jeff’s grandchildren would be appreciated by the family. Cheques may be made payable to “Vanessa Switzer”.

There’s a Handyman in Heaven
So there’s a handy man in heaven now,
Who built his life on dreams.
No tasks, no chores, no obstacles.
But loved the challenge of extremes
A caring, honest provider
That unselfishly gave his all,
A heart of gold and hands of steel
That responded to the call.
A Husband, a Dad, a Grandpa too,
That would help you to the end.
A reliable person of integrity
That all wanted and enjoyed as a friend.
There’s a handy man in Heaven now
Who’s fixing Heaven’s gate,
Oiling the hinges with pride and care,
So that they will open for all who wait

Hello my name is Jim Vandersanden. I didn’t know Jeff that well at all, I only met him 6 days before he passed away. What I do know about our brief encounter/ conversation that day was that the Jeff I met was a nice and caring guy. Full of life! It will just go to show that no matter how brief our encounters are with others we can have an affect on everyone we meet. I will keep Jeff and your family in my prayers.
    God Bless
    Jim

Thinking of you all at this sad time. I will always be grateful to him (and all) for graciously sharing his home, having the funniest discussions at the round table were a highlight, with the giant stereo full blast! I loved how he was also a bagpiper such a special skill and always pride in being Scottish! I was forever in awe of his craftsmanship, at this he was second to none. I am blessed to have quite a few items that were made by him and Hughie that I will always treasure. Mostly now I will remember his complete joy at having three girls that filled his heart ,as we through the years compared notes about how perfect life is with three girls at all of their stages! Then to see his posts of joy as he experienced the boys in grandfatherhood. I am at least, grateful that he got to experience those moments with them. His laughing eyes will always be with you . Xo Joanne, Pat and three girls
