McLEAN: At Stratford General Hospital, after a short illness, Saturday, August 12, 2006, Donald Charles McLean, age 85, of Grand Bend, formerly of Bayview Subdivision, RR 2, Zurich and Windsor. Beloved husband of Evelyn (Freeborn) McLean. Loved brother-in-law of Bernice McLean of St. Thomas. Fondly remembered by Paul McCreedy, his wife Kathleen and their daughter Rebecca of Calgary. Predeceased by his brother Cameron McLean. At Don’s request, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the Grand Bend United Church, Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at 11 a.m. Tracey Whitson-Bahro officiating. Private inurnment will be held later at Avondale Cemetery, Stratford. If desired, memorial donations to the Grand Bend United Church or charity of choice would be appreciated. Don was a well known member of the Stratford and Windsor Badminton Clubs and was an active player and coach. He retired from the Administration Office of the Windsor Board of Education in 1978. T.
