Leanne passed away peacefully at the Clinton Hospital surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of the late Douglas McKay (1987). Proud mom of David and Erin McKay, Lisa McKay and Mike Hugill, and Lori and Tom Houston. Adored grandma of Drew, Greg, Paige, Blake; Cole, Reid; Riley, and Jordan. Cherished sister of Joanne Bartman, and Janine Courtemanche. Dear sister-in-law of Diane McNichol, Jeff McKay, Darlene McKay, Sandra Wilson, and Tena McKay. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and her uncle and aunt, Brian and Dianne Habkirk. Predeceased by her parents Leopold “Mel” and Jacqueline “Jackie” Melanson, parents-in-law Kenneth and Helen McKay and brother-in-law Rick Courtemanche.
A funeral service for family and close friends will be held on Friday, July 5th at 1 PM. Interment Maitlandbank Cemetery, Seaforth.
A celebration of Leanne’s life will be held at the Seaforth Legion, 123 Main Street South, SEAFORTH on Friday from 4 – 8 PM.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society Huron Perth, or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee.
