McGRATTEN: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Saturday, June 22, 2002, Stanley John “Stan” McGratten of Grand Cove Estates, Grand Bend, formerly of Goderich and area, in his 87th year. Dearly loved husband of Dorothy Margaret “Peg” (Cawthorne) McGratten. Loved father of A. D. “Ric” and Joyce McGratten recently of Stratford, formerly of Mississauga. Loving grandpa of Sean McGratten and his friend Danielle Lapare of Toronto and the late Ryan and Sara McGratten (1980). Dear brother and brother-in-law of Gordon and Irene McGratten of Holmesville, Emilie Masecar of Brampton, Shirley Silverthorn of Aylmer, Beatrice McGratten of London and Eldon Johnston of Goderich. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Chester McGratten, sister Ethel Johnston, sister-in-law Beatrice McGratten (1988), brothers-in-law Harry Masecar, William Silverthorn, parents David and Jane (Ryan) McGratten. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with visitation Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the McCallum & Palla Funeral Home, 11 Cambria Road North, Goderich on Tuesday, June 25, 2002 with visitation from 12 noon to 1 p.m. followed by the service in the chapel at 1:30 p.m. The Rev. Stan was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Grand Bend Branch No. 498, Goderich Branch No. 109, Elgin Reg. Tank Corp, Morningstar Lodge No. 309.
