Passed away peacefully at the South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Monday, May 18, 2026 at the age of 81. Cherished wife of David McDonald Sr. for 61 years. Loving mother of Lorri Rogers and Al Cooper, Sharon Kennedy and David McDonald Jr. Loving grandmother of Murray and Karlee Kennedy, James Kennedy (Jordan), Daniel Kennedy and great-grandmother of Elianah and Audrey. Dear sister of Kathy Stevens and brother-in-law of Andrew Stevens. Fondly remembered by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, nieces, and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Margaret and Freeman Cook and brother James Cook.
Cremation has taken place. Haskett Funeral Home, EXETER entrusted with arrangements.
Donations to the Parkinson Society Southwestern Ontario, Saint Elizabeth Foundation or One Care would be appreciated by the family.

When I think of Helen, one word come to mind…Sass.
My time with Helen was not as long as I would have liked, but within the short time I got to spend with her , her zest for life was evident. She was sharp witted and she kept me on my toes. Helen possessed a twinkle in her eyes and a devilish smile when the Sass was about to hit the fan.
To the entire McDonald family, please accept my gratitude for allowing me to provide care to Helen. She was such a joy to work with and I will miss her immensely.
