Peacefully, at Queensway Nursing Home, Hensall, Hugh Roy McBride, formerly of R.R. 2 Zurich, passed away on September 16, 2014 in his 90th year. Dear brother of Wes McBride of Bayfield, John and Mary McBride and Phylis and Earl Deichert of R.R. 1 Zurich. Sadly missed by his nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great great-nieces and great great-nephews. Predeceased by his parents Roy and Margaret (McNain) McBride one brother Keith (Elaine) McBride and sister-in-law Marjorie McBride.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 2 p.m. in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home, 49 Goshen St. N, Zurich with visitation from 12 noon until service time. Mr. Colin Snyder officiating. Interment Bayfield Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, Queensway Resident Fund or a charity of one’s choice.

I had the honour of working with Hugh, it would be about 46 years ago..in Burlington. Back in the days of Thom McAn Shoe. We shared an apartment. Hugh,was just a fine country gentleman. Sorry that I did not keep in touch, but thought of him many times through the years. Rest in Peace Hugh.
