Peacefully, surrounded by her family, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter on Monday, February 8, 2016, of RR 2 Zurich, in her 86th year. Beloved wife of George Mathonia for 58 years. Missed and remembered by her children: Ray and Karen Mathonia, and their children Derek (Michelle), Jeff (Stacie), Kristyn (Lucas), Tony (Kayla), Joe (Kaylie); Ralph and Peggy Mathonia, and their children Rob (Lindsay), and great-grandson Caiden, Mandy (Chris), Stacey (Matt), Dustin (Brittany), Brooke; Marianne and Dan Mclver, and their son Nathan (Sheena); Ken Mathonia, and children Dylan and Mitchell; Bernie and Connie Mathonia, and their children Leah, Cole, Nicki (Jamie); Linda and Bill Boyington, and their children Miles (Haven) and Connor; Peter and Carolyn Mathonia, and their children Katie (Grant), Laura (Quinn); Carmen and Brendan Fernandes, and their children Lauren and Claire. Dear sister of Anna Buhler, and Franz Hecht both of Germany. Predeceased by her brother Robert Hecht. She will be forever in our hearts as we remember her love for nature, gardening, baking, and her devotion to her community with the C.W.L. and Ladies Auxiliary of Bluewater Rest Home.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street N., Zurich on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, 22 Mary Street, Zurich on Thursday, February 11th at 11 AM with Father Matthew George presiding. Interment St. Boniface Roman Catholic Cemetery, Zurich.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
