Frederick Leroy, peacefully in his 92nd year, husband to Jean (Cadman). Father to Wayne (Sherry), Kevin (Kim 2019), Charles (Anita), and Heather Wells (Ralph). Dear grandfather of Tammy and Stacey, Shane (Ang), Ryan (Sarah), Connor (Hannah), Mark (2015), Angela, Dan (Candace), Erin Woelfle (Mark), Emily Wells (Matt Tweddle) and great-grandfather of ten. Predeceased by parents William and Rose as well as brothers Bob, Stan, Bev, Don, Murray and Phil and sisters Kay Nichols and Beryl Lucas. Dear brother-in-law of Karen (late Bryce) Cadman, Jim (late Ruth) Cadman, Beatrice (late Dave) Hart, late Donna and Leo Larkin, Clare and Carol Cadman, Bill and Anne Cadman. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Fred, along side his wife Jean, ran an auto body repair shop in Nairn, followed by his passion for Standardbred horse racing.
Friends will be welcomed at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Friday, June 21st from 5-8 PM and again one hour prior to Fred’s funeral service on Saturday, June 22nd at 11 AM at the Ailsa Craig Community Centre, 155 Annie Ada Shipley Street, Ailsa Craig. Interment Nairn Cemetery with lunch to follow.
The family wishes to thank the staff at the Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital and the South Huron Hospital for their compassionate care throughout his stay.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee.
