
LOVE: Rev. Mervyn John Love of Bayview Subdivision, R. R. #2, Zurich, died at Stratford General Hospital on Monday, November 25, 2002. He was greatly loved and will be missed by his wife Wilma (Gilfillan), son Allan Love, Toronto, daughter Carol and her husband Ken Taylor, Orillia, two step granddaughters, Kristine Brooks, Orillia, Jennifer Woodcock and her husband, Brian, Mississauga, five step great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nola Love, Grand Bend, Madalene and Clifford Jory, Salt Spring, B.C., Viola and Wilfred Hunkin, Exeter, and many nieces and nephews. He was 83. Predeceasing him are family members, Ross Love, Hugh and Edith Love, Lloyd and Vera Love, Edith and Douglas Gill, and his parents Thomas and Annie Love.Mervyn served in the R.C.A.F. during the Second World War as a pilot, taught high school in Trenton, was a partner with his brother Lloyd in the hardware and appliance business in Parkhill and Grand Bend, but his major calling was to serve as a minister for The United Church of Canada at Rydal Bank, Algoma; Mersea, Leamington; and Wyoming and Uttoxeter for 29 years. In lieu of flowers, please remember these churches and the Grand Bend United Church, his home church and where he lately attended, if you wish to make a charitable donation.
