At home, on his farm, on Friday, June 27, 2014, of R.R.#1 Ilderton in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Mary (Howe) Loft. Dear father of Scott and Lisa Loft of Ilderton, Mark and Julia Loft of Arva, Kim and Brad Fletcher of Lobo Twp., and Lisa and TJ Benoit of Appin. Cherished grandfather of Hailey, Natalie and Matthew; Lauren and Will; and Jackson and Tyler. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Carol and Dennis Adlington of Ilderton, Keith and Liz Loft of Ilderton, Jim and Sue Howe of Strathroy, and Linda and Steve Mekker of London. Fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews. Ron was actively involved in the community; as a Lions member for over 30 years and serving on municipal council. He had a passion for farming and his favourite pastime was entertaining his grandchildren. A special thank you to those who provided care and support throughout the years.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 1st at 11 AM with Rev. Barbara Clark officiating. Interment Littlewood Cemetery. There will be a Lions service in the funeral home on Monday evening at 6:00 p.m.
In Lieu of flowers donations to the Ilderton United Church, the Ilderton Lions Club, or V.O.N. Palliative Care would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
