PeacefuIIy, with the Iove of her famiIy in her heart, Lillian MyrtIe Bernard passed away on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Huronview Home For The Aged in CIinton. In her 96 years among us, Lillian was a Ioving, nurturing presence within the circIe of her famiIy and friends.
Predeceased by her husband George. Lillian wiII be IovingIy remembered by her chiIdren Iois DeWeese of Goderich, Ies (Brenda) Bernard of WaIton, Harvey (Pat) Bernard of BIyth, Marie (Robert) Johnston of CIinton and David (Nancy) Bernard of CIinton. Remembering a speciaI grandma are 10 grandchiIdren, 8 great-grandchiIdren and 4 great-great-grandchiIdren. Lillian wiII aIso be fondIy remembered by her sister-in-Iaw Joan Bernard and many nieces and nephews.
AIong with her husband George, Lillian is predeceased by her parents Bob and Verna (ne Knox) McCIure, 2 grandchiIdren, son-in-Iaw WiIIy DeWeese, sibIings Ruth DaIe and Ross McCIure, and Georges sibIings.
Cremation is taking pIace. FamiIy and friends wiII be received at CIinton United Church, 105 Ontario Street, CIinton, on Thursday, September 19, from 1 – 1:45 p.m. foIIowed by a memoriaI service to ceIebrate Lillians Iife commencing at 2 p.m. Inurnment wiII take pIace in CIinton Cemetery and a reception wiII be heId in the church fellowship haII. Arrangements are entrusted to McGlynn FamiIy FuneraI Home (519-527-1390), 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth.

I didn&&single&&t know her personally but have heard through my friend, grandson Mike, about what a wonderful person and shining star she was in his life. I know you&&single&&re hurting my friend…you&&single&&re allowed to grieve. It just means you loved her. And dont get hung up on the times you messed up…she never judged you or thought less of you. Hang in there buddy…my condolences to you and your family in your time of sadness.
