At London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 Krystyna (Rak) Szczech of London and formerly of Lucan in her 50th year. Beloved wife of the late Mitchell Szczech (1999). Forever missed by her only child Catherine (Kasia) Szczech of London. Dear daughter of Matylda and the late Wladyslaw Rak and sister of Jadwiga and her husband Stanislaw Wojtasiewicz all of Poland. Krystyna’s selfless and caring spirit will be missed by family, friends, co-workers and students. We are comforted to know that her suffering is at an end and her soul is at peace with the Lord. Krystyna will be eternally cared for by her loving husband, father and grandmother. Evening prayers will be held at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening at 7 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa, 419 Hill St., London on Friday, June 11th at 10 AM with Father Adam Gabriel celebrant. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
