At London Health Sciences Centre, Westminster Campus after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, June 8, 2004 Krystyna (Rak) Szczech of London and formerly of Lucan in her 50th year. ย Beloved wife of the late Mitchell Szczech (1999). ย Forever missed by her only child Catherine (Kasia) Szczech of London. ย Dear daughter of Matylda and the late Wladyslaw Rak and sister of Jadwiga and her husband Stanislaw Wojtasiewicz all of Poland. ย Krystyna’s selfless and caring spirit will be missed by family, friends, co-workers and students. ย We are comforted to know that her suffering is at an end and her soul is at peace with the Lord. ย Krystyna will be eternally cared for by her loving husband, father and grandmother. ย Evening prayers will be held at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Thursday evening at 7 PM. ย The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Czestochowa, 419 Hill St., London on Friday, June 11th ย at 10 AM with Father Adam Gabriel celebrant. ย Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan. ย Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family. ย
