Passed away peacefully at Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at the age of 79. He was the beloved husband of the late Karen (Lippert) Kroetsch for 53 years. Cherished father of Kathy (Craig) Munshaw and Keith (Tara) Kroetsch. Adored grandpa “Papa” of Logan, Connor, and Alisha and great-grandpa of Nora. A dear brother and brother-in-law of Shirley and the late Dave Wendt, Bob and Phyllis Kroetsch, Melba and the late Joe Grubb, Lorne and Caroline Kroetsch, Betty and the late Carl Gross, Sharon and Murray Kropf, Gary and Marg Lippert, Ken and Helen Lippert, the late Ron Lippert, and the late Glenn and Jean Lippert. He will be fondly remembered by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Arthur and Gladys (Schweitzer) Kroetsch
We Thank You Dad for being a solid foundation for the people we are today. You and Mom gave us a home filled with love. Your quiet strength always made it easy to talk with you (your Chatty Kathy) and you were always there to listen to us growing up and were there for your grandchildren too.
When your health began to fail these past few years, we were honoured to be there for you and care for you as you have always done for us. Even with its challenges at times, and even though you were the “quiet” one in the family, that did not mean there wasn’t a bit of mischief you could get yourself into. We all know as family, friends and care givers what that all entailed over the years! That being said, we loved and will always love you and will miss your presence in our lives. Dear Kathy and Craig, I’m so very sorry to learn of your Dad’s passing, he sat at my Dad’s table at the Rest Home and lived just down the hall !! I appreciated Butch checking on my Dad when he wasn’t at a meal and his short but polite visits in the hallways !! He was a good man and I know you will miss him dearly .
