We are saddened and heart broken to have lost Randy. We shared many weeks trying to get that elusive “Rosanna” drum groove up to speed. That was his Holy Grail. The endless drum talk and enjoyable analysis of drums, drummers, grooves during our lessons I’ll miss. I know you are still swinging lumber somewhere my dear friend.

Dear Kate. It has been many years since we have been together but Randyโ€™s posts on social media and his humour have kept us aware of how vibrantly his day to day life was lived. You two had so much fun!
Our sincere condolences. Our hearts go out to you.
    Love, Jeannine and Ray Crossley

It was painful and shocking to hear the news last night of Randyโ€™s passing. He was a charismatic force who was passionate about music, politics and of course Kate. Roy and I shared many wonderful times visiting with The Kellers. Always laughter and storytelling.
He was a loyal caring friend who left an impact.
Love and comfort to Kate and Randyโ€™s family.

Troy and I are saddened to hear of Randyโ€™s passing. We will miss hearing the music and drumming, the sure sign that our neighbours were home. Condolences to his family and loved ones.

Sincere condolences to Kate and the family. Randy was a friend and someone I appreciated a great deal because of our shared love of music (the Marsden Theatre) and of course politics. I hope you find solace in the fact that he will be remembered by many with a smile.

Very sorry to here of Randys passing
We spent a lot of time in high school together at the Wallace cottage and in Randy’s back room. He played the drums with his friend Dave Gibbs, John Paminger and many others rocked on at great volume. Fun days! My regrets to the family.

Randy (aka Keller204 in the Marsden Chat Room) and I shared a strong appreciation for Jorje Chalmers, the sax player for Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music. Mary and I met up with Randy and Kate after a Bryan Ferry concert in Toronto and we had a great time. And the party Kate and Randy hosted in Stratford is a memory we cherish. Condolences to his friends and family. Miss you Randy.

Randy was my uncle and my first memory of meeting him was going to his and my Aunt Kateโ€™s house for a party. I remember the music was blaring and there were neon signs decorating the place and I remember feeling that I was in the presence of somebody very cool.

Randy was a cool guy through and through. He had a love of life that included a nice glass of wine (life is too short for the cheap stuff), relaxing in Port Perry staring at the view of the lake, playing a drum solo and absolutely nailing it and spending his time with my beautiful Aunt Kate. Randy loved a good joke and had a laugh that echoed around the room. He never backed down from an argument and had a hard time staying silent if he disagreed with you, which often led to very interesting conversations and made him an excellent debater and formidable opponent. I remember staying at the condo while working for GM at the Ex when in university, when Randy saw me dressed up in my General Motors uniform about to head out the door. I jokingly asked him, โ€œDo I look like I know a lot about cars?โ€ Randy stared at me for a moment too long as he contemplated his reaction (probably thinking โ€œNope canโ€™t say that one. Nope canโ€™t say that one eitherโ€) and then he finally landed on, โ€œYeah, letโ€™s go with thatโ€. We both had a good, long laugh.

He cared deeply about those around him and spoke highly of everyone he loved. He loved telling stories and lived a full life that gave him a lot of material to work with.

I will miss my uncle and I will keep the times we shared close to my heart. Iโ€™m sure whenever he is, he is installing a neon light, setting up his drum kit and pouring himself a glass of vino.

Missing you Uncle Randy, thank you for all the good times.
