Donald Cleveland Joynt, formerly of Southampton and Hensall, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home, Lion’s Head, in his 89th year. Beloved husband of the late Audrey (Russell) Joynt (2012). Dear father of John Joynt of Winston Salem, NC and Patrick and Heather Joynt of Southampton. Loving grandfather of Mark and Debra Jenkins, Amanda Joynt, Kelsey Joynt and Thomas Joynt. And great-grandfather of Cierra and Genna Jenkins. Missed by his sister-in-law Anne Joynt and nephew David Joynt. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Florence (Bonthron) Joynt and his brother Carey. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Golden Dawn Senior Citizen Home, Bruce Peninsula Hospice and the Elgin Lodge for making their Dad’s last years as comfortable as possible.
Cremation. A graveside service will be held in the spring at Hensall Union Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, Grey-Bruce Health Services Foundation or a charity of one’s choice
