Passed away peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Friday, December 12, 2025, at the age of 76. Beloved husband of Susan (Martin) Jones for 43 wonderful years. Randy will be lovingly remembered by his aunt Linda (Willie) OโRourke and uncle Roy Phillips, as well as his cousins Ian, Rick, Sheree, John, Darlene, David, Debbie, Vicki, and Jeff, he will also be missed by his sister-in-law Casey Dawes. He was predeceased by his parents, Ted and Donna Jones.
The family extends a special thank you to Sheree Hayter and Mike Dawson for their kindness, care, love and support.
Randy Jones should not be confused with the jazz drummer, baseball player, bobsledder, ice hockey player, or the cowboy from the pop band The Village People who share his name. While they may share a name, none shared Randyโs unique spirit and bright life. For a closer look at this Randy Jones, please visit: https://www.lambiek.net/artists/j/jones_randy.htm.
In keeping with Randyโs wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Randyโs life will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 456 Main Street South, EXETER on Thursday, May 7th from 11:30 AM – 1:30PM. Words of remembrance will be held at 12 PM.
Donations to the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.

Dear Susann,
I had just looked for your address to mail you something about Norman, thinking you and Randy had moved back to N.Y., when I saw the devastating news that Randy had passed in December. I could hardly believe it until I read the obit.
What can I say?? I just wish I could explain how sad I am for losing him and for feeling your huge loss. I wish I could be at the memorial celebration of his life but know that I am with you and all his family and friends.
I shall always treasure the times we spent together in Philadelphia and N.Y.
It was also gratifying for me personally to see the portrait of Randy online.
Claudia and Paul join me in sending love and much strength and spiritual feeling for you.
When you can, please let me know how you are and any future plans. We are still in south Louisiana … 203 Lana Loop, Church Point LA, 70525; 337-331-8260.

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of Randy Jones. I am the assistant music director for Inner Circle. For over twenty years, Randy would do spot on caricatures of ME! and his drawings were spot on and on par with Al Hirshfeld! He was one of the most gracious, talented and optimistic person I knew! He will be sorely missed.

Dear Susan –
Dear Heart, I send you my love. Randy was special in my life and the lives of my children, Matt, Neill, and Nina. Nina and I will always remember your beautiful wedding! A special man, a unique talent. We will always think of him
with love and smiles. Peace be with you.
Thomas & Valerie Kerr
To Susann, and to all who knew Randy: you have my wife Valerieโs and my sincere condolences. Randyโs work as an illustrator and cartoonist was significant, but it was his kindnessโhis friendly, generous, and supportive natureโthat most distinguished him to us.
If, in looking back on a life, it can be said that someone was kind, helpful, and always looking out for others, then little more needs to be added. Randy embodied all of that. His talent was immense, and the many venues in which his work regularly appeared are diminished by his passing.
Godspeed, Randy. We will miss you terribly.

Susan
Please accept our condolences in the loss of Randy.
Undoubtedly one of the most talented artists that ever came from Exeter. I cherish my copy of an early sketch he did featuring Elmer Bell, John Robarts, and all the P.C. powerhouse as they celebrated Charlie McNaughton’s 60th Birthday. He captured the moment and the characters perfectly. His satirical “Trumpitude” sketches of the sitting U.S. president were also priceless. Gone but not forgotten.

Susan and family,
I am sorry to hear of Randyโs passing. I have fond memories of him coming to events at SHDHS when I was teaching music there. He would often sketch scenes from the evening, and I feel fortunate to have one of his sketches of myself, and a student performing at a coffee house. Whenever I look at it, Iโll remember his kind spirit and creative energy. Much love to you all.

To Susan, family and friends
So sorry to learn of Randy’s passing. I will truly miss him, we have known each other since public school and his talent was too much for Exeter and went off to Beal. His art work was unique and he tried to make sure things were authentic. I lent him many pieces of equipment so he could study them and use correctly.
He helped out with our Conservation dinners as a volunteer and donor. He was a great help with the Jones bridge.
Our condolences to all. So many good memories and I hope your memories will bring comfort in the future.
