JOHNSON: Mervin Allen Johnson went home to be with his Lord and Saviour on Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Strathmere Lodge, Strathroy. Born to Wellington and Elisabeth (Brandon) Johnson on February 8, 1933. Dearly missed by his wife M. Jean (Boddy) Johnson whom he married June 2, 1956, where they lived on their family farm on Grand Bend Line for over 60 years. Beloved father to Marion Dutton and Bryan Wright of Glencoe, Brian and Sue Johnson of Grand Bend. Mervin will be deeply missed by his grandchildren Jeffrey and Katelyn Johnson, Tyler Johnson, Matthew Sharrow and Kristen Potter, Laura Sharrow and Tom Wilson, and by his great-grandchildren Brooklyn and Everly Johnson and Zachary Sharrow. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Betty and Walter Boronow, Mary Lester, Ellen MacIntosh-Green, Lily Mae and Ken Quanz and Eleanor Johnson. Predeceased by his siblings William Johnson, Glen Johnson, and siblings-in-law Kathleen Johnson, Howard Lester and Terry Green. Resting at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood with visitation on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 from 4 to 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Gospel Hall, Grand Bend on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at 2 p.m., with visitation beginning at 1 p.m. Interment Grand Bend Cemetery. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to the Parkinson Society, the Strathmere Lodge or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
