Peacefully at South Huron Hospital Exeter on Friday July 4, 2003 J. Douglas Insley of Exeter in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Dorothy (Prentice) Insley (1993). Dear father of Sue and George Wilson of Exeter. Dear grandfather of Cathie and Mike Savage; Judi Wilson and her friend Thang Le and Tracy Wilson and her fiance Michael DeGroot. Dear great-grandfather of Brooke and Owen, Clair and Larissa. Dear brother-in-law of Ruth Insley of Exeter, Elizabeth Hayward-Mooney of North York and Beth Prentice of Newmarket. Loved by nieces, nephews and many friends. Predeceased by a grandson Doug, brothers Ted and Winston and his wife Florence and a sister Marion. Friends may call at the Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday July 8th at 11 AM with Rev. Lillian Wilton and Pastor Kevin Rutledge officiating. Interment Exeter Cemetery. Donations to the Arthritis Society,the Canadian Liver Foundation or the Palliative Care Room at South Huron Hospital would be appreciated by the family.
