Passed away peacefully at LHSC – University Hospital with her family by her side on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at the age of 72. Proud mom of Sarah and Jeff Beaver. Dear sister of Debbie Newland, Donna McFarlane, and Nick Banks. Fondly remembered by her nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Dennis and Dorothy Newland, sister and brother-in-law Denise and Keith Mainland, and brother-in-law Len McFarlane.
Diane was one of the most selfless and generous people you could meet. She might be donating to a worthy cause or supporting someone in need. Diane enjoyed many fun and peaceful moments on Ipperwash Beach with friends, family or by herself; taking in the beauty of the waves rolling in or simply watching the sun set.
A celebration of Diane’s wonderful life will be held at a later date.
Donations in Diane’s name may be made to Project Peace Canada ([email protected]), or South Huron Hospital Foundation.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Over the course of our time together, I came to know your mom not just as someone I cared for, but as a remarkable woman with a sharp mind, a kind heart, and a wonderful sense of humor. Our conversations were often filled with stories from her life, reflections on the past, and most often expressions of pride and love for you. She spoke so fondly and frequently about you, and it was clear how much joy and comfort you brought her.
It was a privilege to be welcomed into her home and to share those personal, meaningful moments with her. She left a lasting impression on me, and I will remember her with great affection and respect.
