HORTON: 1952 – 2022 She lit up the room! It is with utmost sadness, that we announce the passing of Susan Dorothy (Dunn) Horton of Grand Bend, at her residence on Friday, June 17. Truly loved wife of Paul Timothy Horton. Sue was born in Montreal, Quebec, as the one and only daughter of Victor A. “VA” (2010) and June “Junebug” G. (Pickering) Dunn (2021). She will be forever remembered by her close cousin Peter Pickering and family, nieces, nephews, cousins and sisters-in-law. At Sue’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 from 12 p.m. (noon) until 2 p.m.
A Grand Celebration of Sue’s Life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498 Grand Bend on Saturday, September 10, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. Sue lived her life to the fullest, she put her heart and soul into everything she set her mind to. She wore many “hats” through the years as restaurant/bar owner, PSW and most recently she helped her husband Paul own and operate Quality Tree Service. Sue made the jobsite so much more fun and was affectionately known as “Bobcat”. Sue was a one of a kind, thoughtful, patient and a beautiful soul to be around. We will miss you, but know you are with your mom and dad again. Memorial donations will be accepted at the celebration, with proceeds going to the Grand Bend Legion.
