Carole was born May 6, 1945 in Chippenham, England to Olive and Harold Tavenor. She married Norman Hill and headed to Canada with son, Christopher on May 11, 1969. They welcomed their second son Stephen Lesley Hill in 1970.
Together they farmed most of their life but sold the farm upon retirement. Carole spent the rest of her days working at flea markets in Bayfield, volunteering for OneCare and working local thrift shops. She truly never wanted to see anyone alone without having a friend to talk to.
Her Collie Winston was known in the area and her kitty Tilly were both her companions to the end. She leaves behind her two sons Christopher Hill (Marcy) and Stephen Hill (Joanne), 5 grandsons, Anthony Hill, Joshua Hill, Lauchlin Hill (Madison), Patrick Hill (Miranda) and her youngest grandson Maxwell Hill. She had 4 great-grandchildren, Damien, Heathcliff, Amelia, Escanor. She passed away on a snowy afternoon on Tuesday, January 28, 2025 at Huron Hospice surrounded by family. Three generations that will continue the transforming love of forgiveness from Jesus Christ. Donations to Alzheimer Society of Huron Perth would be appreciated.
