Larry passed away peacefully at North Lambton Lodge on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the age of 67. Dear brother of Dave and Sharon, Leo and Maureen, and Rick and Darryl. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Leo and Noreen (Eggett) Henry, and his brother Bishop Frederick.
Larry worked for Lambton College as a Computer Analyst for many years and took great pride in his work.
Visitation will be held at Denning’s of Forest, 9 James Street South, FOREST on Thursday, January 29th from 2 – 4 PM.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Christopher’s Catholic Church, 68 Union Street, FOREST on Friday, January 30th at 11 AM. Interment Beechwood Cemetery, Forest.
Donations to Operation Smile Canada, or Sarnia-Lambton Rebound in Larry’s memory would be appreciated by the family.

Larry fought many difficulties in his life. I remember him as positive , happy and
strong in mind.He loved his family, especially his mother. Marcy , his cousin, said it best. “He is now back in the arms of his mother and father.”
One afternoon I was sitting with my mom, Blanche Henry, and we were talking school. Mom taught Larry at Holy Rosary in London. She told me she asked Larry who had the most influence on him growing up. His answer was “Rick. He let me play with his friends.”

When Bill told me of his passing all I could remember is saying his name Larry Michael Thomas Henry but thought for a moment and rememered it was Leo Michael Thomas Henry. I got to know Larry at Lambton College. He was working in the IT department. Lynn worked with him for some time. Larry was hard to understand, but Lynn was always able to “translate”. As mobility became more of a challenge, Gord in security would ensure that Larry got to his office okay. The number of people helping grew, and Larry’s group, besides Gord and Lynn, came to include Bill, Laura, Kathi, and myself. We would go out for food regularly, gossip about the college, and talk about our personal lives. We even visited Larry’s house for his birthday once. Despite health issues that grew, Larry persevered. He was not a complainer. Rest in peace, Larry.

I had the privilege of working with Larry at Lambton College for many years. Larry took great pride in his work and was a stickler for details, wanting things to be right the first time.
Getting to know Larry too, you quickly understood that Larry had a great love and pride in his family always willing to tell you about his brothers and extended family.
Overall though, the thing that stood out to me about Larry was his faith and his strength. Nobody would have faulted Larry for wanting to ‘take it easy’, but that was not Larry’s character or style. Larry always gave 110% and persevered on when most would have quit.

Although, regrettably, I have not seen Larry in many years, I was saddened to hear of his passing.
When we were younger Larry and I connected and always enjoyed our bond. I am sending cousin love and sincere condolences at this time. Larry leaves a lasting impression of warm hearted joy.

It’s hard to believe this, as I just mentioned all the Henrys to my friends from St Anne’s church yesterday. Larry was such a kind happy person to be around. Do you guys remember he use to visit mom around his birthday & would say “Mrs Healey, my birthday’s tomorrow & you’re my God mother” and mom would say back, “I never forget, Larry”

Larry Henry was one of the most courageous people we have ever met. He faced major physical challenges in his life, and he overcame them as much as possible with his indomitable spirit. Larry led a good full life and was an inspiration to many people. I saw this first hand when he was my student.
More than just an incredible student, Larry became a good friend, and we always enjoyed reconnecting no matter how long the time since we had last met. I enjoyed his playful sense of humor, and he could give the little jokes as well as take them. My wife Evelyn said it well, ” he was a beautiful soul.” Our sincere sympathies to Larry’s siblings and the entire Henry family. R.I.P. dear Larry.
