Unexpectedly at LHSC – Victoria Hospital on Thursday, June 10, 2021 at the age of 24. Proud and cherished daughter of David Hartin of Clinton, and Shaunna Brooks of London. Loving sister of Angela Hartin and Jamie Riley of Clinton, Lisa and Joe Karpyshyn of Clinton, and Nicholas Hartin of Goderich. Adored aunt of Jeylin, Westin, and Chanel; Mitchell, Emmalyia, and Karalyna. Nikita will be missed by her aunts, uncles and cousins. Predeceased by her grandparents Margaret and Wilbert Hartin of Goderich, and her aunt Doreen Ritchie of Blyth.
Nikita will be missed for her witty and dry sense of humour. She was always a kind, polite, and social butterfly. Over the past decade, her struggle with addictions and her internal demons never kept her bright and resilient soul from shining through to those she loved and to those who loved her. Her unique personality, could always make you smile or laugh.

Every time we spent time together I always hoped you would come back to take a break from the true hardships of living without a home of your own and treat all we had to offer as your own. 24 short years is not a fair shake at life especially when 10 or more of those years is robbed due to addiction. Nikki couldn’t see a life beyond the one she had because it’s all she ever knew. We must find a way to make it so much more difficult to become addicted to all the harmful life robbing substances that are so easily acquired these days so our children can get the most out of the short time we’ve been granted.
Sorry Nick, I read your comment about Nikita and you were so correct as she missed you much more than you knew. I hope you and your family can stay strong though this tragedy . Nikita was a good friend.
