Peacefully at home with her family by her side on Wednesday, May 11, 2022 of Lucan at the age of 88. Beloved wife of the late Jack Harrigan (1993). Cherished mother of Ben and Anne, Dan and Ina, Dave and Cindy, Randy and Rose, Mark and Debbie, Andy and Cindy, Phil, and John and Nancy. Proud grandma of 31 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Phyllis and Alan Gregory. Fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Harold and Doris (Relf) Hodgson, daughter Cheryl Ann (1966), grandson Adam (2020) and dear companion Gerry Klumpers (2018).
Evelyn was an avid card player, her seat at the card table will be missed by her family and friends. Evelyn and Jack were proud of raising their family on the farm on the Roman Line. Her time spent with her grandchildren on the farm were some of her fondest memories. Her beautiful gardens both flowers and vegetables will be remembered by all who had the chance to see them on the farm or at the fair.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, LUCAN on Sunday afternoon from 2 – 4 PM. Registration is required and appreciated. To register, please click “Register Now” below.
Evelyn’s memorial service will be held in the funeral home on Monday, May 16th at 11 AM with David Burghardt officiating. Cremation has taken place. Registration is not required to attend the service.
A celebration of Evelyn’s life, filled with food and cold beverages will be held at the Granton Centennial Park Pavillion, 100 High Street, Granton on Sunday, July 3rd from 11 AM – 3 PM.
Donations to Villages United Church or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee.
