Elaine and family, I am very sorry to hear about Uncle Laverne. You are in our thoughts and prayers.

As a kid I would always look forward to our summer holidays at grandma Harburn’s and all the fun with my uncles. There was never a dull moment, from the stories, car and motorcycle rides, swimming at the gravel pit, to my first hang gliding flight.

Thank you so much Uncle Laverne for all the great memories including a canoe trip gone wrong on the river to the ride down rollercoaster road which I only learned about on a trip back to Ontario a few years ago when Laverne and Glen took us for a ride to prove that it actually existed after all those years living on the Goshen.

Uncle Laverne, you are always loved and will never be forgotten.

Butch was a wonderful person, the life of every party and he certainly had a big heart. We will cherish the memories we had with him in the Amish backcountry and touring the beautiful landscape of Brucefield with him.
Butch lit up the room by his presence and I know his grandsons, Dean & Owen, will miss him immensely (their time with him cut too short).
Butch had his opinions and convictions and wasn’t afraid to speak them. Men like that are rare today.
Butch loved his family fiercely. They were his no.1 priority. He will be sorely missed and we cannot express our deepest condolences enough to Elaine and Ashley and the rest of his family.

    Elaine, Tom and girls,
Lots of good memories when Butch, Tom and Bill, were back at the farm deer hunting these last few years. Many stories unfolded during the hunt and around the kitchen table.
    Never a quiet moment!!
Had some great games of Lost Heir with Butch and Elaine, always playing by the Harburn rules.
    Laughs were many.
Butch loved to show the next generation the do’s and dont’s of hunting as he wanted to make sure the love of the sport would be carried on.
    Thanks Butch.
