Peacefully, at Renfrew Victoria Hospital on April 27, 2025 in her 82nd year. Loving wife of Maurice Haist for over 63 years. Dear mother of Judy Dick of Renfrew, Karen Dorcas of London, and Denean and Alan Renning of Exeter. Proud grandmother of Maurissa (Brandon), Sara; Ronald, Andrew; Eric, and Adam (Nicola). Dear sister and sister-in-law of Marie and Don Brunzlow of Exeter. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and cousins. Will be greatly missed by her many friends and neighbours. Predeceased by one infant daughter Lisa, and sons-in-law Jeff Dick, and John Dorcas; sister and brothers-in-law Bernice (Oren) Grace, Frederick (Donna) Haist, Helen (Lloyd Jones), Arnold Wasnidge, Myrtle (Almer Passmore), Gordon Pengelly, Doris (Lorne) Listoen.
Besides her love of community, great memories were made with family and friends at their cottage on Manitoulin Island.
Cremation has taken place. A celebration of Ruth Ann’s life will be held at a future date.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Lung Association, South Huron Hospital Foundation or Jessica’s House would be appreciated by the family.
