HAINES: Donald “Don” Edward James

HAINES:  Peacefully, surrounded by the love of his family, at Jessica’s House Residential Hospice, Exeter, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, Donald “Don” Edward James Haines of Exeter, age 82.  Beloved husband of Ruth Elaine (Roeszler) Haines.  Loved father and father-in-law of Kate and Leslie Cunningham of Exeter, Jamie “Jed” and Kelly Haines of Exeter and Rob and Denise Haines of Crediton.  Super Grampa and cherished Uber Driver of Emma, Zach, Nadine, Abby and Sierra Haines.  Remembered by his nieces and nephews in the Roeszler and Hodge families.  Predeceased by his parents George and Viola (Moffatt) Haines, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of Carman Roeszler, Grant and Doreen Roeszler, Lloyd and Eleanor Roeszler, Donald Roeszler, Betty Ann and Cecil Glanville and Eileen Roeszler.  At Don’s request, cremation has taken place.  A Private Family Memorial Service will be held at the T. To Ruth and Family,

We were so incredibly sadden to hear of Don’s passing. He was such a welcoming, kind, thoughtful and Generous person.
After purchasing ‘the drug house’ across the road, Don and Ruth became our first neighborhood friends. He always graciously welcomed us to visit either on his porch or inside. He always make sure to give a wave and a smile everytime we were outside and our son always was excited to see him outside.
May the memories and legacy he left behind provide you comfort as you remember him.
