GLAZIER: Gordon “Gord” Wesley

GLAZIER: Peacefully, at Stratford General Hospital with family by his side, on Thursday, May 14, 2015, Gordon Wesley Glazier of RR 1, Dashwood, age 85. Beloved husband of Jean L. (Horner) Glazier. Loved father and father-in-law of Debbie and Ken Godden of Stratford, Linda Nedza of RR 1, Dashwood, Randy and Jen Glazier of RR 1, Dashwood. Cherished pappa of grandchildren Danny Patrick, Karie Godden (Mike), Lindsay Nedza (Ali), Kelley Nedza (friend Scott), Jaime (Kevin) Metzger, Shauna Glazier (friend Mike) and of great-grandchildren Josh Patrick, Alicia, Dakota and Brooklyn Buckley, Brayden Barclay, Hailey and Jase Metzger. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Doreen Gee, Reg and Shirley Horner, Tom Horner and partner Marian Simpson. Gord will be remembered by his nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Herbert and Elise (Ireland) Glazier, sisters Jean Ruthig, Wilma Rosner and brothers-in-law Dean Gee and Roy Rosner, brother and sister in-law Stan and Marian Horner. Gord was a long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498. He was an owner and partner for many years with the 271-4242 Taxi Company in Stratford driving cab # 7, he also owned and operated Gord and Jean’s Snack Bar in Grand Bend. His last 24 years were spent as Manager and partner of Birch Bark Trailer Park, RR 1, Dashwood. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood on Thursday, May 21, 2015 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial Service will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 498, Grand Bend, on Friday, May 22, 2015 at 1 p.m. Mr. Bob Heywood Officiating. Interment Pinery Cemetery Columbarium. If desired, memorial donations to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
