Della Edith (Smith) Melick Gingerich, of Zurich, passed away peacefully at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Amos Gingerich (2003) and Clarence Melick (1964). Loved by her son Melvin Melick and wife Audrey of Dashwood. Sadly missed by Amos’s family Jean Gingerich and Betty Steckle of Zurich and their families. Dear grandmother of Jeanine Melick, Brenda and Richard Clark, Marcia and Brennan Connolly, Melissa Melick and Linette Melick and great-grandmother of Cedar and Nemma Clark. Dear sister of Allan and Ruth Smith. Fondly remembered by her many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sons-in-law Ken Gingerich and Bill Steckle.
Visitation in the J. M. McBeath Funeral Home 49 Goshen St. N., Zurich on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Zurich Mennonite Church. Pastor Ken Gazley officiating. Interment Emmanuel United Cemetery, Zurich.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Zurich Mennonite Church or the Canadian Bible Society.
