Peacefully, at his late residence on Tuesday, July 1, 2008 Gerry J. Van Bussel of Ilderton in his 78th year. Beloved husband of Wilma (Van den Berg) Van Bussel. Dear father and father-in-law of Connie Van Bussel and Bob Benner of London and Roger and Corina Lowe of Moffatt. Dear grandfather of Lindsay and her husband Nick Benner, Erin and Jake Benner and Nichole and Jeffery Lowe. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Tina and Harry Van Boxmeer and Elizabeth and Jeff Roestenberg all of Ilderton, Jim and Cathy Van Bussel and Sharon and Joe Czikk all of London, Mary and John Ten Kate and Joanne and Tony Smulders all of Dorchester, Helmi and John Kaufman of Brantford, Helen and Brian McHenry of Poplar Hill, Cathy Van Bussel of Lucan, Berny Van Bussel of London, Gerry Hilhorst of Strathroy and Tony and Jo Van den Berg and Gerry and Kit Van den Berg all of Holland. Also missed by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by daughters Rita (1958), Annette (1963) and Shari Lowe (2002), a grandson Luke (1991), brothers Chris (2002) and Jack (2007) and a sister Catherine Hilhorst (2006). Gerry developed and constructed Vintage Green in Ilderton. Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Wednesday 7-9 PM and Thursday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Family Parish, 777 Valetta Street, London on Friday, July 4th at 10 AM with Father Clare Coleman celebrant. Interment St. Patrick’s Cemetery, Lucan. Donations to the Canadian Liver Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
