GALLAGHER: Lorraine Marie of Exeter

Surrounded by family, after a courageous battle at LHSC- University Hospital, London on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, of Exeter, in her 58th year.  Best friend forever of Marilyn Lightfoot of Exeter.  Cherished aunt of Theresa and Adam Case of Grand Bend, Ashley Gallagher of London and Jenn and Chad Patterson of Zurich, and Jen Lightfoot of Lucan, and Jamie and Sarah Lightfoot of Toronto.  Dear great-aunt of  Jacob and Dawn Case;  Jadyn and Chase Patterson.  Fondly remembered by best friend Lorie Lightfoot and Jeff Casey of Exeter.   Dear niece of Norris and Judy Hearn of Sarnia and family.  Always remembered and loved by the Lightfoot family and her many friends. Predeceased by her parents Joyce (Hearn) Gallagher and Raymond Gallagher, and special mother Doris Lightfoot. Always missed by her 4 legged companions Daisy and Dodge and reunited with her dog Barney. 

A celebration of Lorraineโ€™s  life will be held at the Exeter Legion โ€“ Branch #167, 316 William Street, Exeter on Saturday, June 16,  from 2-3 PM with Words of Remembrance held at 3:00 PM. Haskett Funeral Home, Exeter (519-235-1220) entrusted with arrangements. Cremation with a private interment at Exeter Cemetery at a later date.    

Donations to Huntingtonโ€™s Society, OSPCA, or Diabetes Canada would be appreciated by the family.

    It is with saddened hearts that we are sending our sincerest sympathy to all of you on the loss of your dear and loving friend, Lorraine. She was a remarkable person both beautiful inside and out.

    May your cherished memories put a smile on your face and comfort you through these difficult days ahead. โ€œDeath leaves a heartache no one can heal; Love leaves a memory no one can steal.โ€ You have so many wonderful family, friends, neighbours and community โ€“ supporting you.

    May God keep you in his loving arms, as you grieve and celebrate Lorraineโ€™s life. She is now resting in the arms of the angels and may her journey to the next life be as great as she was on earth.

    I am so sorry to hear of Lorraineโ€™s. She is in a much better place, free of pain. I remember happy times working with Lorraine at London Life, she was a very harder worker and took her testing of โ€œProduct Illustrastrationsโ€ very seriously. It was hard to get anything by Lorraine.

    Sending my deepest sympathies to you all!! When I think of Lorraine…I think of baseball parties and tournament dances in the egg building! Lorraine was always so much fun!! I can hear that song “Put me in coach!!” I remember us singing that, at one of those parties!! I’ll never forget her her laugh, her smile and her contagious spirit!! Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
