Always there to lend a helping hand he had a great way with people no matter what the issue. His smiling face and humor helped many people get through some hard difficult days. Fred had a way with people that always made the day more pleasurable. His care, compassion and love will be sadly missed.

    April 25, 2017 at 8:19 AM

Sandra and family After Fred called earlier in the year to let us know what was going on with him, we had good intentions to come for a visit. As usual life got in the way and we obviously delayed too long. We met Fred years from the camp and always enjoyed a visit to talk about fishing, hunting, Stokes Bay, etc. Buck (our dog) was also happy to see him as he knew there would be treats in his pocket when he came through the gate. Fred was surely one of the good guys and will be missed by many. He will live on as we all tell the many great stories of his life and times.

Fred & Sandra looked forward to having hot dogs or sausages roasted at a campfire at the end of the evening. I remember when we pulled into the camp with our tent trailer, Fred said I have got just the trailer for you to buy & stay here seasonally. That was July 1st 2002. We left the park in 2015.

RIP Fred. You will be missed but not forgotten.

I had a lot of laughs with Fred while on moose and deer hunting trips. He was a giving and genuine person and I always thoroughly enjoyed his company. Fred once generously made me two ice fishing “tip ups”. I have used them many times and often get asked by others “where did you get those?” They are wonderfully painted and varnished and balance perfectly. I have always been proud to use them, but now I will cherish them even more. RIP Fred, you will be missed.
