FOSTER: Peacefully, at Woodstock General Hospital, on Tuesday, May 16, 2017, Joseph “Joe” Edward Foster of Grand Bend, formerly of Woodstock, age 78. Beloved husband of Beatrice Ellen (O’Connor) Foster. Loved father and father-in-law of Mike Foster of Kitchener, Al and Elaine Foster, Dan and Maria Foster all of Woodstock and step-father of Jim and Aileen McCabe of North Bay. Cherished grandpa of John and his wife Rayna, Jen and her husband Nisse, Alyssa, Leah, Evan, Mathew, Melissa and her partner Ryan. Treasured great-grandpa of Avery and Ledger. Dear brother and brother-in-law of George and Catherine Foster, Mary Mangolt, Anne Chapeski, Lana Foster all of Woodstock and Diane McLeod of Oshawa. Remembered by his many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his parents Victor George and Helen Jean (Sexsmith) Foster, brothers John Foster and Robert Foster. At Joe’s request, cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service for Joe will be held at the Pinery Baptist Church, 8751 Lakeshore Rd, Thedford (Northville) Tuesday, June 27, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. Mr. Bob Heywood Officiating. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation for the care and compassion that the doctors and nurses at Woodstock General Hospital have given to Joe and his family in his time there. Arrangements entrusted to the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood. If desired, memorial donations (payable by cheque) to Gideons International, Pinery Baptist Church or a charity of choice would be appreciated by the family.
