April 17, 1931 – February 11, 2026
Lois was the eldest of three children and a loving sister to Bruce Taylor (predeceased) and Gord Taylor. She will be missed by her brother Gord and his wife, Angie and many extended family members and friends.
In 1961, Lois married Ronald Forde and later received an annulment. She remained a devoted and loving mother of her only child Jeffrey Forde. Lois took great pride in her family and especially cherished her role as a grandparent. She was a loving grandmother to Krista, Scott (predeceased), Tanya, and Samantha Forde. She also held close to her heart Jennifer Hughs (mother of Charlotte) and her husband James, as well as Chris Chase, husband of Tanya.
Lois leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren Charlotte, Amber-Lynn, Tristan, Mia, and Skyler, and her adopted great-grandchildren Keyda and Harley, siblings of Charlotte, all of whom brought her immense joy.
A strong and independent woman, Lois was a single parent through all of her working life. She built a career providing dedicated secretarial services, primarily within the mortgage industry, balancing professional responsibilities while raising her son with love and determination. Later in life, she moved from Toronto to Seaforth to enjoy her retirement years.
Lois will be remembered for her strength, devotion to family, and quiet resilience. She will be deeply missed by her son Jeffrey, his wife Rose Timmins, as well as all who knew and loved her.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society or Meals on Wheels (Mitchell and Area Community Outreach) would be appreciated by the family.
