It is with heavy hearts, we share Andrea Lynn Finlayson passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 28, 2021. Born on March 18, 1988, Andrea’s life was much too short, after a strong and courageous 5 year battle with cancer. Cherished daughter of Jim and Marian (Duffy) Finlayson of Seaforth. Proud sister of Melissa and Jason Beuttenmiller of Guelph, and Sarah and Mitch Masse of Zurich. Adored auntie of Jada, Kyra, and Lexi Beuttenmiller and Leah, Landon, and Dylan Masse. Andrea will be fondly remembered by her many aunts, uncles, cousins, and many special friends. Predeceased by her grandparents Art and Mary Finlayson, and Bob and Ruth Duffy.
Andrea was a lover of all things outdoors; sports, spending time with friends, and nature. She enjoyed going out to a restaurant for a delicious dinner and then coming home to replicate that same meal for her family and friends. She loved fashion, often dressed in a classy outfit no matter the occasion. Andrea graduated McMaster University with a Bachelor of Engineering, and was always using her mind, smarts, and handy woman skills to renovate or build something for her home.
Visitation will be held at Haskett Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, SEAFORTH on Sunday afternoon from 2 -5 PM. Due to Provincial COVID-19 restrictions, each person must RSVP for the visitation. Please click “Register Now” below to register. The Funeral Mass celebrating Andrea’s life will be held on Monday, May 3rd at 11 AM. Though the Funeral Mass is private, the family invites you to join with them from the comfort of your own home. Stream the service live or at your convenience by visiting www.facebook.com/haskettfh. Cremation to follow, and a private family interment will be held at Harpurhey Cemetery at a later date.
Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
