Peacefully at his residence on Saturday, November 10, 2012 of Exeter in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Patricia (Pat) (Sillery) Hendrick. Dear father of Julia and Earl Martene of Crediton, Jayne Hendrick and Lorne Culbert of Exeter, and Lisa and Justin Steffler of Dashwood. Dear grandfather of Jason and fiancée Jen, Brian and Devon; Mitchell, Emily and Evan; Danielle and Ginger. Emil will be sadly missed by his several nieces and nephews. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Helen and Jerry Drysdale of Dashwood, Eleanor Hendrick of Exeter, Pat Hendrick and Ruth Hendrick both of Grand Bend. Predeceased by his parents Samuel and Florence (Turnbull) Hendrick, brothers Hugh, Elgin and John Hendrick and his father and mother-in-law Edward and Laura Sillery.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street West of Main) on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 13th at 11 AM with Paul Ross officiating. There will be a masonic service on Monday evening at 6:30 PM under the auspices of Lebanon Forest Lodge A.F. & A.M. #133, Exeter. Interment Exeter Cemetery.
Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the South Huron Hospital Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
