Suddenly, at his residence, on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, of Exeter, in his 64th year. Beloved husband and best friend of Darlene (Watson) Edwards for 42 years. Dear father of Lori and Paul Jarrett of Corunna, Pamela and Steven Rudy of St. Marys, and Barry Edwards of Exeter. Loving and proud grandfather of Brianna, Madison, Alexandria; Dylan, Devin, Davitt, Jordan; Nathan and Jacob. Dear brother of Linda and Ivan Kirkham of Mitchell, Vicki and Bruce Daw of Alberta, Beverly and Andy Van Altena of Dashwood; step-brother of Mark and Brenda Wragg of Exeter, Greg and Margaret Wragg of Clandeboye, Doris Wragg of Dashwood; and brother-in-law of Kevin Watson of Kitchener, Marilyn and Ross Newman of Waterloo, Randy and Sheila Watson of Kitchener, and Nancy and Mitch Edwards of Alabama, USA. Dear son-in-law of Jack Watson of Kitchener. Missed by several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Fondly remembered by his life-long friend and mentor Don McCaffrey of Exeter. Predeceased by his parents Wilbert “Chub” (1999) and Marjorie (1987) Edwards, his step-mother Margaret (Wragg) Edwards (2003), his son-in-law Sean Smith (2000) and his mother-in-law Orloe (Waghorn) Watson (2010). Wayne was an avid hunter and fisherman and a lover of all sports.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 370 William Street, Exeter (1 street west of Main) on Friday evening 6-9 PM, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 11 AM with Bob Heywood officiating. Cremation.
Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association, the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters would be appreciated by the family.
We are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).
