EDWARDS, Margery Edna (Baker): Peacefully, with her family by her side, in hospital in London Ontario on Sunday November 29, 2009. Recently of Grand Bend, formerly of London, age 83, Margery was a veteran of WWII (British Army – ATS) and served with the British Fire Services. Beloved wife of the late Allen Keith Edwards (1998). Loved mother of Barbara and John Smits, Keith Edwards and Chris Edwards, all of Grand Bend, Janet and Gareth Hughes of Ottawa. Loving grandmother of Christina and Kevin Browne, Heather Smits, Heather and Todd Burns, Alison Hughes and partner Darren McClurg and great-grandmother of Nolan Browne, Taylor Browne, Julia Grace Burns and James Burns. Dear sister of Ted Baker of Clipstone, England, sister-in-law of Betty Choma of St. Clements, Ontario. Remembered by nieces, nephews and their families in Canada, New Zealand and England. Predeceased by brothers Neville Baker, Hadyn Baker, parents Edric and Edna (Shaw) Baker. A Memorial Service will be held at St. John’s By-the-Lake Anglican Church, Grand Bend, Thursday December 3, 2009 at 11:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Margery’s name for the development of gardens to be created at St. John’s By-the-Lake Anglican Church, gratefully accepted, or please plant a garden or feed the birds in her memory.
