Peacefully, at the Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, on Sunday, September 1, 2019, of Zurich, at the age of 90. Beloved wife of the late Jerome Durand (2017). Dear mother of Jerry and Eleanor of Port Elgin, Richard of Stratford, Paul of Toronto, Maryanne of London and Joeanne of Zurich. Dear grandmother of Charlene; Lisa, Susan, Sheila and David; and great-grandmother of Emma, Ashley, Dakota, Larissa, Dylan, Colton, Logan, Madyson, and Milena and great-great grandmother of Tanner, Lincoln, Carter. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Ron and Bonnie Robbins of Sarnia. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by a grandson Andrew, a brother George, and sisters Verna, Lillian, and Mary. Many thanks to Queensway Nursing Home and the Blue Water Rest Home for their care and compassion.
Friends may call at the Haskett Funeral Home, 49 Goshen Street, ZURICH on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, 73334 Bluewater Hwy., St. Joseph on Friday, September 6th at 11 AM with Father Matthew George officiating. Cremation has taken place. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Parish prayers will be said in the funeral home Thursday evening at 7 PM.
