Donald Kenneth Hodgins

At Parkwood Hospital, London on Thursday, October 18, 2012 of London in his 78th year.  Survived by his dear friend and companion Betty Bartolomie of London.  Dear father of Laurel Pratt and Lisa Innis and grandfather of Zachary, Wesley, Samantha, Amanda and Rachel.  Dear brother of Lorraine Stewart and Beth Tubb.  Also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Predeceased by his parents Wesley and Jennie Hodgins, brothers Milton, Joseph and William and sisters Margaret, Isabella and Shirley.

Don was born and raised in Lucan, Ontario where he attended elementary school and then Medway High School.  Upon graduation, he joined London Life in London, where he remained until his retirement in January 1991.  In his youth, he enjoyed baseball and hockey.  He played baseball with the Lucan Irish Nine and coached hockey.  Don was very involved with the masonic order both in Lucan and in Florida where he eventually spent his winters.  He was also Past Master of the Irving Lodge #154 in Lucan and a past Grand Steward.  He belonged to Mocha Shrine Temple in London.

At Don’s request, there will be no service.  Cremation with private family interment at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye.

    I’m so sorry to hear of Don’s passing. I worked at London Life from 1968-2005, in the what is now called IT. I worked on several programming projects with Don, and enjoyed working with him.
    My thoughts and prayers go out to his family at this sad time.

Memorial Tree

Each year we hold a tree dedication ceremony at Morrison Dam in Exeter. We purchase a tree to be planted in memory of the lives lost from the previous year.

Our Service Coverage Area

Service AreaWe are always willing to go where called upon but this image shows a visual of the communities that our included in our initial transportation fee. We offer a 40km radius from any of our 5 locations (Arva (London), Exeter, Lucan, Seaforth, and Zurich). Any mileage beyond the included 40km will be charged a rate of $2.50/km (one way travel only).

Potential Additional Transportation Fees

$150 - If transport requires more than one person, additional fee charged per person required
$150 - If transport occurs outside Mon-Fri, 9-5 business hours
