DESJARDINE: Peacefully, at South Huron Hospital, Exeter, Saturday, October 25, 2014, Elsie Pearl (Walters) DesJardine of Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich and formerly of Grand Bend, age 98. Beloved wife of the late Wallace “Wally” Louis DesJardine (2004). Loved mother of Wallace A. “Bud” DesJardine of Grand Bend, Sharon and Ken Nancekivell of Waterloo. Loving grandma of Christine DesJardine and her husband Caliphe Buchanan of Toronto, Nicole and Victor Catalano of Mississauga, Scott and Jane Nancekivell of Waterloo, Heather Young of Georgetown, Andrea and Craig Thistle of Brooklyn N.S. and great-grandma of Christian, Nathan and Gabrielle Catalano, Kelly and Nicholas Nancekivell, Alexandra and Mackenzie Young, Chelsey and Devon Thistle, Cayenne and Cruz Buchanan. Predeceased by her brother Clarence Walters, sisters Edith Walters, Tilley Walters and Gladys Lockhart, parents Albert and Matilda (Pearson) Walters. A private family visitation will be held at the T. Harry Hoffman & Sons Funeral Home, Dashwood, with a Graveside Service at the Grand Bend Cemetery on Tuesday October 28, 2014 at 12 noon. The Rev. Harry Disher officiating. Elsie and Wally operated Wallys Meat Market on Main St in Grand Bend for over thirty years. If desired, memorial donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated.
