At London Health Sciences Centre, University Hospital on Saturday, October 21, 2006 Derwin J. Beatson of Ilderton and formerly of Biddulph Township in his 96th year. Beloved husband for 68 years of Rhea (Foster) Beatson. Dear father of Sandra Pitt (Ralph) of Cargill, Don Beatson (Deanna) of Granton and Sharon Hodgins and Lyle Beatson (Carol) all of Denfield. Also missed by 10 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Velma Sholdice of London and Willa Rinn of St. Marys. Predeceased by a son-in-law Lloyd Hodgins (2003). Derwin farmed for 80 years before retiring to Ilderton. Friends may call at the C. Haskett and Son Funeral Home, 223 Main Street, Lucan on Monday 2-4 and 7-9 PM where the funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 24th at 11 AM with Father Michael Peterson officiating. Interment St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
